I am Ganesan Sivaramakrishnan, a postdoctoral researcher specializing in developing advanced optical biosensors for real-time detection of multiple autoimmune diseases. Recently, I successfully created a portable optical biosensor prototype utilizing the surface plasmon resonance technique, capable of detecting 12 different autoimmune diseases.
Throughout my academic journey, which includes a Ph.D. and postdoc in optical biosensor development, I have acquired a diverse set of interdisciplinary skills, including:
Fabrication of Plasmonic sensor chips
Mathematical simulation using Octave and Matlab
Microfluidic device fabrication
Optical setup development (SPR sensing technique)
Designing graphical user interfaces (Python-based)
Working with electronic embedded systems (Linux-based microprocessors, Toradex)
Surface chemistry techniques
Design and development of prototypes (using Solidworks and FreeCAD software)
Conducting experiments and data analysis
Effective communication with target audiences to gather feedback.
My ultimate vision is to see optical biosensors integrated into medical devices for widespread real-world applications. In pursuit of this goal, I am actively seeking a new opportunity with an organization that shares my vision and passion.
